Maticas ID card printers are designed with flexibility in mind. Whether you have a direct-to-card or retransfer ID card printer Matica offers a range of encoder modules, duplex upgrades and enhanced features to ensure you get exactly what you need from your Matica ID card printer.
ID Card Encoder Modules
ID card encoding modules allow you to place data within an ID card’s components. Depending on what the card is being used for, and the type of technology you are using to read the data. I.e. Barcode, Magnetic-Stripe, RFID or smart-card encoding.
Matica’s ID card printers don’t come with ID card encoding features as standard however they offer a range of ID card encoding options that come as an additional module, inline with their MC series and XID ID card printer ranges.
Duplex Activation Kits
The Matica MC Series can be bought a single side card printer and be upgraded to a dual side card printer at a later date. The Duplex activation kit activates the dormant duplex print features in your direct-to-card (DTC) ID card printer. So simple to do, it is something that can be done inhouse. This feature isn’t seen in all DTC card printers, and in some cases, such as with the Javelin DNA, the ID card printer needs sending off for this functionality to be activated by the manufacturer.
Retransfer Bend Remedy
Compatible with Matica’s XID8300 the bend remedy solution is designed to counteract the slight bend that can sometimes occur when the PVC card is printed under high heat. The bend remedy presses the card to make it even again. This is only recommended for the Matica XID 8300 single side ID card printer.
